2. Product Information and Disclaimer
Zyphor Ceramic Coatings products are professional-grade surface protection solutions developed for automotive, marine, and recreational vehicle applications. These products require proper surface preparation, appropriate environmental conditions, and correct installation techniques to perform as intended.
By purchasing or using any Zyphor product, the customer accepts full responsibility for ensuring that the product is applied correctly. Zyphor Ceramic Coatings will not be responsible for damage, performance issues, or surface defects resulting from improper preparation, incorrect application, unsuitable environmental conditions, or misuse of the product.
3. Surface Preparation Requirements
Proper surface preparation is essential for achieving optimal performance from ceramic coating products. Before applying any Zyphor Ceramic Coating, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated. All waxes, oils, residues, and contaminants must be removed from the surface. Where necessary, paint correction procedures may be required to ensure the surface is suitable for coating application.
Failure to properly prepare the surface prior to installation may significantly reduce coating durability and performance, and may also result in warranty coverage being void.
4. Warranty Registration
Warranty coverage is only available when the ceramic coating installation has been properly registered through the official Zyphor Ceramic Coatings warranty registration system. The registration must include accurate customer information, installation details, and the identification details of the coated vehicle, caravan, or boat.
Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Failure to complete warranty registration or provide accurate information during the registration process may result in the warranty being considered void.
5. Warranty Coverage
When correctly applied and maintained in accordance with Zyphor Ceramic Coatings guidelines, the coating is designed to assist in protecting treated surfaces from common environmental contaminants. This includes weather-related fading, oxidation, mineral deposits, water spotting, insect residue, bird and bat droppings, tree sap, and environmental fallout that may come into contact with the surface during normal use.
Warranty coverage applies only to properly treated exterior painted or gel-coated surfaces.
6. Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the date the ceramic coating is applied and remains valid for the period specified at the time of installation, provided that all terms, maintenance requirements, and inspection procedures outlined in these Terms and Conditions are followed.
For caravans and recreational vehicles, warranty coverage may extend for up to three years from the date of coating application. Failure to comply with the maintenance requirements outlined in these Terms may result in the warranty becoming void.
7. Maintenance Requirements
Proper maintenance of the coated surface is essential for maintaining coating performance and preserving warranty eligibility. If the recommended maintenance procedures are not followed, the warranty may be considered void.
During the first seventy-two hours following coating application, the coated surface must not be washed using shampoos or cleaning chemicals. If necessary, the surface may only be rinsed gently with clean water. Exposure to harsh environmental contaminants should be avoided during this initial curing period.
8. Regular Washing Requirements
Regular washing is required to maintain the condition and performance of the coating. Coated cars must be hand washed every fortnight, which means once every two weeks. Washing must be performed using a pH-neutral car shampoo and clean microfiber wash mitts or cloths. Automatic brush car washes or abrasive cleaning tools must not be used.
Coated caravans and boats must be hand washed at least once every month. Washing must be carried out using a pH-neutral shampoo and clean microfiber cloths or wash mitts. Harsh chemicals, abrasive brushes, or aggressive pressure washing methods should be avoided.
When washing coated surfaces, the vehicle, caravan, or boat should ideally be cleaned in shaded or cool conditions. The surface should be rinsed thoroughly before washing, cleaned one section at a time, and dried using clean microfiber drying towels or chamois.
9. Contaminant Removal
Environmental contaminants such as bird droppings, insect residue, tree sap, and organic debris should be removed from the coated surface as soon as possible. If these contaminants remain on the surface for extended periods, they may cause staining or damage.
Contaminants should be softened using pH-neutral shampoo and gently rinsed away. Scrubbing, scraping, or aggressive cleaning methods must be avoided as they may damage the coated surface.
10. Annual Maintenance Requirement
For cars, caravans and boats, annual maintenance is required in order to maintain warranty eligibility. The coated surface must undergo an annual inspection and professional decontamination wash. In addition, a coating maintenance top-up using approved products must be performed.
This maintenance must be carried out by an authorised Zyphor applicator. Failure to complete the required annual maintenance may result in the warranty becoming void.
11. Warranty Exclusions
The Zyphor Ceramic Coatings warranty does not cover damage resulting from stone chips, scratches, impact damage, accidents, vandalism, or other forms of physical damage. The warranty also does not cover rust, corrosion, pre-existing surface defects, manufacturer paint or gel-coat defects, or surfaces that have been repainted or repaired without reapplication of the coating.
Damage caused by harsh chemicals including acids, solvents, degreasers, bleach, or ammonia-based cleaning products is excluded from warranty coverage. Swirl marks caused by incorrect washing techniques, as well as damage resulting from polishing, buffing, or sanding after coating application, are also excluded. Accessories, vinyl wraps, decals, and modified surfaces are not covered by the warranty.
12. Warranty Claim Process
If a potential warranty issue occurs, the claim must be reported within 14 days of the issue being noticed. Customers may be required to provide customer details, product information, and photographs of the affected surface.
In some cases, the coated vehicle, caravan, or boat may need to be presented for inspection before the claim can be assessed. Any transportation, inspection, or related costs associated with a warranty claim are the responsibility of the customer.
13. Warranty Resolution
If a warranty claim is successfully reviewed and approved, Zyphor Ceramic Coatings will determine the appropriate resolution. The resolution may include either a refund of the original product purchase price or the delivery of a replacement product supplied at no cost to the customer.
Warranty resolution is strictly limited to the product value only and does not include labour costs, application charges, transportation costs, or any indirect expenses related to installation or removal.
